Handmaids of Mary

The objectives of this organization are religious, educational, civic and social.

Membership is open to any woman interested in the objectives and who is a practicing Catholic.

Honorary membership is open to women who will join us in prayer, but who are not obliged to be at our meetings. They may be called upon to donate and participate in our activities, if they wish.

Meetings: 3rd Tuesday of each month, September to May.

Dues: $5.00 year (covers guest speakers and other expenses during the year)

Activities: The Handmaids of Mary make crafts for the parish carnival and the spring boutique, and have at least one day of recollection a year. Each October and May we have a living Rosary.

Standing Commissions:

• Organization Service Commission
• Church Communities Commission: program of study and action in the areas of scripture, liturgy and ecumenism
• Family Affairs Commission
• Community Affairs Commission: aid to sick, elderly, orphans, mentally retarded, physically handicapped and migrant workers
• International Affairs Commission: support in foreign missions, helping a family, Madonna Plan, Holy Father's collection of clothes for the needy children in other countries, help foreign students

Tuesday, September 16th the Handmaids had their new officers installed by Fr. Peter followed by an ice cream social. Welcome to our new officers and we look forward to having any or all of the women of Most Holy Redeemer joining us in our prayer and work as Handmaids of Mary.
