Servants of the Redeemer

Mission Statement

The mission of the Servants of the Redeemer is to develop and foster our spirituality as Catholic men by gathering together as brothers in Christ. Through prayer and reading Sacred Scripture we hope to deepen our faith and spirituality while lending support to one another on our faith journey. We seek to form a deeper relationship with Our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ as we strive to become truly Catholic men who bring gospel values to all aspects of our lives, thus enriching our vocations and strengthening our love of God, our families and one another. We desire to give better witness to our Catholic Faith and to support our parish family through our prayers, service and active participation in parish life.

Goals

- The Servants meet the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month beginning with the 8:30 Mass and then move over to the Parish Center. For further information, please contact Tony Prisland @ 813-988-3569.

On May 22, 2004 Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church held a men’s day of recollection facilitated by Fr. Remo DiSalvatore, O.F.M.Cap.  From this day of recollection the Servants of the Redeemer men’s faith group was formed.

Realizing that we all face the same challenges as Catholic men we gather two mornings per month to pray, read scripture, and discuss how best to live our faith.  As our mission statement affirms, we strive to “bring gospel values to all aspects of our lives, thus enriching our vocations and strengthening our love of God, our families, and one another.”

The Servants of the Redeemer would like to extend an invitation to any man who desires to develop their Catholic faith to join us at our meetings.  There is no sign-up.  Feel free to drop in on the second or fourth Saturday of the month.  Meetings are held in the Parish Center and start after the 8:30 am Mass.
