(1st Sunday Lent

March 1 , 2009 )

Our Lenten Season challenges us to turn from sin and be faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. During this season we are also called to prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Appeal

Several weeks ago you received a letter and a pledge card from Bishop Lynch asking you to support the 2009 APA. To date, few families have made a gift or pledge to APA. Our goal is to have 100% participation. Please prayerfully consider supporting the APA with a pledge or one-time gift. Convenient 10 month payment plans are available. In advance, thank you and God bless you.
You can also click here to make an on-line donation.

ACTION ALERT

The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) is again before Congress (S. 1173, H.R. 1964). FOCA is a radical bill. It creates a “fundamental right” to abortion through-out the nine months of pregnancy. No governmental body at any level would be able to “deny or interfere with” this right, or to “discriminate” against the exercise of this right “in the regulation or provision of benefits, facilities, services, or information.” For the first time, abortion would become an entitlement the government must condone and promote. As concerned citizens and as Roman Catholic Christians we need to be aware of what this means for us and for our country. Please, keep the prayers going!!!
